Economy and Practicability of Nitrogen Making Machine in Wire and Cable Production Line

Wires and cables are indispensable basic equipment for transmitting electric energy, transmitting information and manufacturing various motors, electrical appliances and instruments. They are essential basic products in the future electrified and informationized society. Wire and cable industry plays a very important role in China's manufacturing industry. At present, the average annual output value has exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan. In cross-linked insulated wires and cables, the main ways of cross-linking are inert gas (nitrogen) cross-linking, warm water cross-linking and irradiation cross-linking. For large cross-section and high voltage cables with a production capacity of more than 70 mm2 of 10-500 KV, inert gas cross-linking (dry chemical cross-linking) is mainly used to realize the cross-linking. Inert gas crosslinking uses polyethylene insulating material with peroxide crosslinking agent. After extrusion of conductor shielding layer - insulating layer - insulating shielding layer through three layers co-extrusion, the crosslinking process is completed continuously and uniformly through sealed crosslinking tube filled with high temperature and high pressure nitrogen gas. The heat transfer medium is nitrogen (inert gas). The electrical properties of crosslinked polyethylene are excellent and the production range can reach 500KV.
